Bespoke hats and headpieces

Adrienne Henry Millinery aims to create the perfect hat or headpiece to complement your outfit whatever the occasion. Whether it be weddings, Ladies Day at the Races; Royal Ascot & Newbury, Henley, Goodwood Revival and re-enactments, Hats and headpieces are handmade, and individually created. For Royal Ascot we specialise in creating individual 'head-turning' headpieces.

Bridal headpieces

Brides are welcome to design their unique bridal piece with Adrienne to complement their wedding dress whether it be traditional, vintage, modern or alternative.

Vintage Hats

We have collected many beautiful vintage hats from around the world. They date between the 1920s - 1950s and are available in the shop to buy or hire.

Hat making parties and workshops

Hat making parties are ideal for hen parties, birthday parties, and fun for friends. Bookings are for a minimum of four to a maximum of six people and are held in the shop. However, larger parties can be catered for at your home, or an alternative venue. Parties are also suitable for corporate and hospitality events. The party lasts for four hours and includes vintage-style afternoon tea. Within the four hours you will create your headpiece, having learnt several millinery techniques. Sewing skills are used when creating your piece, but all abilities are welcome, as help will be given. All materials are included in the price and you will be able to take away your completed headpiece, ready for your special occasion. Prices start from £55 per person, for a party in the shop. Please enquire for prices at alternative venues. Parties can be themed, for example; 1940s, Burlesque, Steampunk, or tailored to your occasion, for example; Royal Ascot, Goodwood Revival, Henley, weddings, fancy dress parties and the races.

Workshops

Workshops are available for those who wish to learn millinery skills. Workshops are held on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Please enquire for the next available workshop. Sessions will last up to four hours, and include refreshments.

Gentlemen's hats - new, vintage and military

We have a selection of vintage and new men's hats. Vintage hats include top hats, bowler hats, trilbys, fedoras, and many more. We have a selection of new seasonal hats. There is also a selection of military hats available.

Vintage Clothing and Accessories

The shop has a collection of vintage Ladies clothing, including original American 1950s wedding and prom dresses. Ladies vintage accessories include; hat pins, brooches, jewellery, gloves, tights, handbags and many more items. Men's vintage clothing includes double breasted suits, tail coats, shirts, waistcoats, bow ties and silk ties. All our vintage clothes and accessories have been carefully chosen for their quality, condition and design.

Vintage treasures and china hire

A selection of vintage treasures are available to complement your clothing or to accessorise your home. This includes, for gentlemen; collar boxes, cigarette cases, grooming kits, hip flasks, binoculars and much more. For ladies; hat pins, manicure sets, brooches, jewellery, gloves, tights, handbags, opera glasses and many more items. To accessorise your home we have a selection of vintage bone china, glass ware, a range of cameras from early 20th century to 1960s and lots more.

Vintage china hire - for weddings and parties

We have a large selection of excellent quality vintage bone china, from well known English bone china companies. If you are catering for an intimate vintage tea party or a large party for over 100 we are able to provide for all your needs. To look at a selection of china please contact us at the shop and we will be able to show you samples.

Military Uniforms for Hire

Available to hire are a selection of military uniforms and hats; Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force, in different sizes ideal for Goodwood Revival and re-enactments, or just for dressing up for parties. All uniforms are in excellent condition. Hiring costs are from £45 for a weekend. Uniforms may be collected from a Thursday for weekend hire, but must be returned by the following Tuesday. Payment and deposit must be paid in advance. All damages must be paid for.
